Program learning outcomes

The Religious Studies Program has adopted the following SLOs:

Students will demonstrate skill in finding information about specific religious domains (discourses, practices, communities, and institutions) and evaluate that information using specific analytical frameworks

University SLO: Can locate and critically evaluate information

Students will demonstrate familiarity with one or more methods of analyzing religious domains (discourses, practices, communities or institutions) and the ability to apply those methods to a specific body of information related to one of these domains.

University SLO: Have mastered a body of knowledge and a mode of inquiry

Students will demonstrate acquisition of knowledge related to one or more religious traditions.

University SLO: Understand diverse philosophies and cultures within and across societies

Students will demonstrate ability to effectively communicate information about religious domains and methods of analyzing them in both written and oral forms.

University SLO: Can communicate effectively
